Dr. Timothy S. Rutar M.S., D.V.M.
Dr. Rutar has over 30 years of experience in the equine industry. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, he attended the University of Wyoming and Arizona State University, where he earned a degree in Sports Medicine and a Master’s degree in Clinical Biomechanics.
Dr. Rutar has a diverse background and has spent several years working with a team of physicians focused on implementing anatomically specific surgical simulations to enhance surgical decision-making capabilities. He is a published author and a member of various professional organizations, including the American Association of Equine Practitioners. He was a past qualifier to the College National Finals Rodeo and a top 10 finalist at the Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale.
Dr. Rutar’s professional interests encompass a wide range of areas within equine medicine, including equine orthopedics, internal medicine, surgery, sports medicine, equine dentistry, gait analysis, and radiology/lameness evaluation in the equine athlete.
He is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Wyoming and Arizona.
